Lapis Lazuli

This illusion is created with paint glazes (either oil or water based), shellac, and terrycloth toweling, and can only be done on a flat or semi-flat surface. The interaction of the shellac, denatured alcohol, and the paint forms the circles and fractures characteristic of the lapis stone.
