Cracked Linen

This illusion is created using sheet rock joint compound. A thin layer of compound is applied to muslin and when dry, pulled across the edge of a table. Soft cracks appear and then are tinted lightly. This finish is best applied to small smooth surfaces, as large areas are extremely labor-intensive.
